Château Colombe Peylande 2019 – Haut-Médoc

The nose is fruity and offers a certain gourmandise. There are notes of pulpy cherry, blueberry and, more slightly, crushed red berries combined with a touch of blackberry, liquorice and a subtle hint of fresh nutmeg. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, acidity, energy and good definition. On the palate this wine expresses tart/juicy currant, fresh/juicy cherry and more slightly floral notes with a touch of fresh berries and a subtle hint of racy minerality, zan, vanilla and a discreet hint of crushed nutmeg in the background. The tannins are well-managed.
