The nose is spicy and tightly wound. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of crushed blackberry, wild strawberry and slightly grey pepper combined with hints of creamy red berries and fine varietal hints. The palate offers freshness, minerality, juicy/generous fruit, richness and a good guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy blackberry, pulpy raspberry and more slightly crushed red berries combined with hints of vanilla, fleshy cherry as well as fine hints of chocolate and a subtle hint of almond in the background. The tannins are mellow and sapid.
