The nose is relatively tight and offers power as well as freshness. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of blackcurrant, blackcurrant leaf and, more slightly, fresh raspberry combined with hints of pepper and fresh flowers. The palate is fruity, tightly wound and offers freshness, minerality, juiciness and a good structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, fresh/crunchy blackberry and more slightly violet combined with bright/pulpy red berries as well as fine hints of rose, liquorice/zan, chocolate and a discreet touch of black tea. The tannins are tightly wound. A subtle hint of cola in the background. A very discreet hint of fresh coffee on the finish.
