The nose is aromatic and offers a nice fine grain, intensity, accuracy and an elegant and pretty aromatic palette. There are notes of fleshy blackberry, ripe wild strawberry and, more slightly, ripe blackcurrant combined with fine touches of morello cherry, violet, lily, delicate hints of liquorice, black tea, very fine saline notes and a hint of pepper and fresh cloves. The palate is fresh, mineral and offers fatness, roundness, pulpy/mouth-watering fruit, a fine acidic backbone, a nice tannic structure, elegance, roundness as well as a nice definition and gourmet texture. On the palate this wine expresses crunchy boysenberry, pulpy blueberry and slightly violet notes combined with hints of morello cherry, liquorice, chocolate, Bourbon vanilla bean as well as hints of black tea, nutmeg and a touch of roasted hazelnut. The tannins are elegant, structuring, racy and well-managed. Good length. Nice freshness, definition and complexity.
