The nose is spicy and tense. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of blackcurrant, blackcurrant leaf and more slightly of spices combined with subtle touches of crunchy red berries, a hint of varietal/blackberry as well as discreet hints of pepper and clove. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, freshness, good definition, tension and energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, crunchy blackberry and more slightly blackcurrant leaf combined with hints of fresh flowers/buds/blackberry, fine notes of fresh blond tobacco, liquorice and a hint of dark chocolate and black tea. Good length.
