The wine needs to be decanted. The nose is finely closed (at present) and powerful. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, sage and more slightly violet combined with fine touches of pepper, fresh nutmeg as well as fine toasted notes and a discreet hint of crushed cherry. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, freshness, good definition, minerality / mineral structure and some acidity. Good freshness and juicy/fresh fruit. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh blackberry, crunchy cherry and more slightly violet notes combined with hints of cream of plum, fine liquorice notes and a discreet hint of cardamom and chocolate powder. The tannins are smooth and precise. Good length.
