The nose is mineral, liquorice and offers some stretch. There are notes of crushed blackcurrant, crushed black plum and more slightly Sichuan pepper combined with hints of crushed/almost jammy wild strawberry as well as hints of sweet blond tobacco and vanilla bean. The palate is fruity, mineral and offers freshness, straightness and tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/creamy blackberry, pulpy blackcurrant and more slightly blueberry combined with hints of crushed strawberry, hints of sweet blond tobacco as well as a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut and a discreet touch of vanilla. The tannins are chewy on the finish.
