The nose offers a fine hint of reduction. There are notes of blackcurrant, crushed raspberry and, to a lesser extent, ripe red berries, combined with hints of zan, violet and a touch of balsamic and spice. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced and offers good definition, a certain juiciness as well as an acidic backbone. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, crushed red berries and more slightly pulpy blackcurrant combined with hints of violet, lily and hints of tonka bean, fine vanilla and a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut. Good length.
