Château les Gravilles, Renaissance 2019 – Haut-Médoc

The nose is fruity and offers concentration as well as a fine, well conducted power. There are notes of crunchy blackcurrant, crushed redcurrant and slightly morello cherry, combined with hints of crunchy black berries, as well as hints of liquorice, vanilla and a discreet touch of pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, good definition, a certain gourmandise, a fine unctuousness, a fine acidic backbone as well as a discreet airy side in the approach. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy blackcurrant, creamy blackberry and, more slightly, violet, combined with hints of chocolate, hazelnut, toast, cardamom and a fine touch of camphor and roasting (in the background). Good length and persistence. Some power on the finish.
