The nose is tightly wound and offers some concentration, reduction and freshness. There are notes of crushed blackcurrant, fleshy strawberry and slightly crushed boysenberry combined with fine touches of fresh tobacco, sweet spices and a subtle hint of clove. The palate is fresh, fruity, a little tight and offers a fine concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, pulpy/fresh raspberry and more slightly racy minerality combined with hints of concentrated berries, minerality, camphor as well as a subtle hint of clove and a discreet hint of bitterness/old wood.
