The nose is very discreetly tight and offers a fine grain, a little stretch and good definition. There are notes of blackcurrant, camphor and, to a lesser extent, ripe red berries, combined with hints of nutmeg, liquorice and a discreet touch of bergamot and tonka bean. The palate is mineral and offers a little stretch, a fine freshness and tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of wild raspberry, ripe/juicy blackcurrant and slightly nutmeg combined with touches of racy minerality, camphor, fine iodine, a discreet hint of tonka bean and a subtle hint of toasted almond and vanilla (in the background). The tannins are well-managed. Good length. Sapidity on the finish.
