The nose is racy, tightly wound and offers concentration as well as depth. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, crunchy black berries and a hint of blueberry combined with touches of crunchy strawberry, lily, fine hints of blueberry and a discreet hint of spice, fresh liquorice and a subtle touch of sweet spice. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, delicacy, roundness, fatness, gourmandise, acidity, precision, concentration and a certain finesse in its racy power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crunchy cherry, violet and more slightly juicy/fresh wild red berries combined with hints of crushed blackcurrant, black plum as well as hints of liquorice, blond tobacco, vanilla and a touch of chocolate. A nice wine where the “pressed wine” is evident. Good work on the bitter taste.
