The nose is fruity, with lovely fruit, purity and concentration. There are notes of crushed cherry, pulpy wild strawberry and, more slightly, crushed berries, combined with hints of blueberry, lilac and fine toasted hazelnut and liquorice stick. The palate is nicely fresh, juicy and offers crunchiness, gourmandise, good definition, concentration in rightness/mastery as well as a fine airiness in its creaminess/richness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy/pulpy blackberry, fleshy/juicy redcurrant and more slightly crunchy cherry combined with hints of chocolate, toasted almond and a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut. Good length. A subtle hint of positive bitterness in the background.
