The nose is elegant, aromatic and offers a nice finesse of grain, pulpiness, power and stretch. There are notes of crisp cherry, crushed strawberry and more slightly juicy/pulpy blueberry combined with fine touches of lily, blackcurrant and a discreet hint of star anise, a subtle hint of sweet spice and an imperceptible hint of almost white flowers. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, roundness, a certain fatness, a little spherical side, a certain unctuousness, accuracy and purity. On the palate this wine expresses crunchy cherry, crushed raspberry and slightly crushed blackberry notes with a touch of plump blue plum, lilac, racy minerality and fine hints of sweet blond tobacco, crushed almond and a subtle hint of toastiness. Lovely gravelly minerality on the palate. A lot of finesse in its gourmandise.
