Château Paloumey 2019 – Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois Supérieur

(Organic) The nose is fruity, gourmet and offers creaminess, intensity and pungency. There are notes of creamy blackcurrant, wild black berries and, to a lesser extent, raspberry, combined with hints of nutmeg, cardamom, zan, and hints of lily and pepper. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, a tangy structure, some fat, a nice racy freshness and crunchiness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crunchy blackcurrant, wild berries and slightly raspberry, combined with hints of violet, crushed plum, morello cherry, chocolate and a subtle hint of pepper (in the background). The tannins are precise and smooth. A hint of graphite and toast in the background.
