Château Clément-Pichon 2019 – Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois Supérieur

The nose offers a certain delicacy as well as spiciness. There are notes of blackberry, wild strawberry and, more slightly, camphor combined with delicate touches of racy minerality, lily, pepper, as well as fine notes of toastiness, sweet spices and a subtle hint of star anise in the background. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, good definition, a certain gourmanidise, a little spherical side, roundness and a fine tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy redcurrant, tart raspberry and, more slightly, violet, combined with hints of fresh/juicy violet plum, as well as hints of vanilla, toasted almond, tonka bean and discreet toasted notes.
