The wine shows a bright, vivid ruby colour. The nose is a bit restrained, needs air to open up, later revealing notes of fresh tobacco leaf, some stalkiness, overall a herbaceous character. The palate is juicy, with vibrant, refreshing acidity, very elegant structure, slightly fizzy which adds to the freshness. The notes of dark fruits like black cherries and blackberries are balanced by nuances of spices and leafy notes. The tannins are grippy, slightly green but well-managed. A refreshing, juicy and vibrant wine to drink slightly chilled.
