This wine is limpid and shiny with a ruby color and some brick reflections. The first nose is aromatic with sweet spices but also small fruits such as quince and plum. We find an interesting woody, smoky aspect. There is a little bit of alcohol but it’s fresh with hints of mint tea. After aeration, we perceive more the tomato juice as well as the potpourri. The tasting is smooth with cooked fruits such as plums and blackberries. There is also a little black tea. The palate is delicate, the tannins are present and fade during the mid-palate to let the fruits express themselves on the finish. The finish is persistent. There is a hint of blond tobacco, caramel and above all the cherry brandy that concludes the whole.
