This wine has a limpid and shiny color. It has a nice dark ruby color. The initial nose is aromatic with stewed black fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry. We also feel the barrel with sweet spices, pepper and vanilla. The second nose is powerful with fruits in alcohol such as cherries in brandy. We also perceive touches of candied tomatoes as well as leather and cocoa. There is a nice freshness like eucalyptus. It’s complex. The palate is fresh, juicy with fruits such as brandied cherries, plums and also aromatic herbs. The tannins are present, soft with a beautiful grain. On the mid-palate, the fresh fruit becomes more stewed with blackberry and cherry jam as well as raisins. There is always a nice freshness that persists until a delicate finish on these fruits and this cocoa. The barrel is well integrated and lets the fruits and herbs express themselves. The finish is persistent. Nice wine.
