The nose is elegant, fresh, nicely defined and reveals power, roundness, concentration, good depth and some spiciness. There are notes of fairly ripe/crushed red berries, bright blackcurrant and more lightly Bigarreau cherry combined with fine touches of blueberry, hints of crushed raspberry as well as subtle hints of liquorice, discreet hints of nutmeg and a subtle touch of Madagascar pepper. The palate is fruity and delicate, offering juiciness, a nice acidic backbone, minerality, good definition, precision, tension, power, great delicacy, a little spice and a fine pungency. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, small crushed red berries and more lightly violet combined with hints of pulpy/juicy blackberry, fine spice (signature/typical of Malbec), star anise and a subtle hint of sense of place (local biotop) and pepper. The tannins are fine, elegant, delicate and supple. Good persistence.
