The nose is fruity and fresh. There are notes of ripe red berries, pepper and a hint of violets combined with fresh/crisp blackcurrant and a subtle hint of racy spice. The palate is fruity and reveals a nice acidic backbone, minerality and energy/dynamism. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy raspberry, fleshy/juicy currant and more lightly blackcurrant notes combined with hints of violet and fine liquorice, spice and a very discreet almost enveloping/sweet spice quality.
