La Petite Marquise 2021 – Saint-Julien

La Petite Marquise 2021 – Saint-Julien

The nose is fruity and shows harmony and good definition. There are notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, fresh/juicy blueberry and, more slightly, violet, combined with delicate touches of liquorice, discreet hints of pepper and a subtle hint of lily. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, gourmandize, finesse, a nice grain, silkiness, a nice mineral backbone and well-made classicism. On the palate, this wine expresses juicy/fresh cherry, pulpy raspberry and, more slightly, fresh/juicy blueberry notes combined with touches of red berries, violet, as well as fine hints of tonka bean, pepper, bourbon vanilla and a discreet hint of salinity (in the background). A lovely, smooth, sapid finish with a subtle firmness.
