The wine shows an attractive, shiny, straw-green colour with a silver hue. The nose is slightly muted, with aeration revealing notes of white pepper, withered herbs, a touch of lemon pith, lime zest and a hint of yellow pear. The palate is zesty, pungent with a refreshing, balanced acidity, good fruit concentration, a certain volume and power. On the palate the wine reveals notes of grapefruit zest, dried grass, a hint of ripe, almost overripe pineapple, a lick of spices like white pepper and thyme. The finish accentuates this herbal quality with a slight bitterness and savoury character.
