The nose is elegant, spicy and reveals some power/intensity but with a nice fine grain. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, wild strawberry and more lightly of Madagascar pepper combined with hints of violet, tea as well as fine graphite, spice/cardamom and a subtle hint of vanilla bean. The palate is fresh and reveals minerality, elegance, good definition, a certain gourmandize, acidity, sapidity on the mid-palate, a finely pronounced structure and harmony. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, fleshy/juicy raspberry and, more slightly, blackcurrant, combined with hints of violet, Madagascar pepper, as well as fine points of violet plum, a hint of light tobacco and a subtle touch of cocoa/mocha. Good length. Subtle chewiness and good work on the bitter taste on the finish.
