The nose is fruity, elegant and shows gourmandize. There are notes of fleshy strawberry, blackcurrant and, more slightly, violet, combined with hints of pulpy berries, pepper, spice and fine vanilla, a fine hint of iodine and a discreet hint of toast. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, minerality, freshness, good tension, concentration and power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy strawberry, fresh red berries and more lightly of violet combined with hints of fleshy cherry and hints of violet, light tobacco and a subtle hint of vanilla. The tannins reveal power and structure.
