The nose is spicy. There are notes of nutmeg, pepper and, more slightly, blackberry combined with fine varietal touches as well as hints of black berries, cloves and fine leather. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, a nice finesse in its volume and roundness, an acidic spine, some tension and a touch of iodine. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, fleshy blackcurrant and, more slightly, violet, combined with nuances of camphor, clove and fine leather, a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut and vanilla.
