There are notes of bright wild blackcurrant, violet plum and a hint of racy minerality combined with hints of sweet spice and fresh nutmeg. The palate is fresh, mineral and offers juiciness, minerality, good definition, a certain gourmandize, roundness, silkiness, a very discreetly tight grain, an acidulous/mineral framework, harmony and a nice finesse in its roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bright blackcurrant and more slightly raspberry combined with a touch of fresh/juicy cherry, hints of nutmeg, vanilla, a subtle hint of juicy violet plum as well as discreet hints of fresh blond tobacco, graphite, a subtle touch of camphor and chocolate. The tannins are precise, mellow and well managed. Good length.
