The nose is floral and vanilla. There are notes of crushed strawberry, vanilla and, to a lesser extent, violet, combined with delicate hints of liquorice, as well as subtle hints of sweet spices and candied gooseberries. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, freshness, a certain juiciness, a nice brightness/freshness of the fruit, gourmandize, a fine acidic spine as well as tension in delicacy and elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, pulpy/juicy wild raspberry and more slightly violet combined with subtle touches of plum, peony, fine points of fresh blond tobacco as well as discreet hints of black olive, chocolate and a subtle touch of vanilla. Finely firm tannins. Good length. A very discreet hint of iodine in the background. Good length. Nice persistence.
