The nose is fruity and reveals intensity with elegance, some power with finesse (and control), harmony, fine grain and a certain purity of fruit. There are notes of blackberry, fleshy/juicy cherry small notes of spiced with hints of balsamic, ripe purple plum, violet, liquorice and a subtle hint of star anise, spice and pepper. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, precision, airiness, finesse in its relative strength and some concentration. On the palate this wine expresses pulpy/juicy cherry, pulpy purple plum small notes of liquorice, bright blue berry with fine almost balsamic tips, black olive/local grove, racy/chalky minerality as well as discrete almond, toasty, a subtle hint of grey pepper (in the background) and a subtle almost dusty quality. Tannins are sapid and racy. Good persistence.
