The nose is fruity, ripe and reveals power. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, wild dark berries with hints of wild strawberry, as well as a very discreet hint of pepper, a subtle hint of nutmeg and lily (in the background). The palate is fruity, racy and offers freshness, minerality, juiciness, power and a subtle sense of place and precision. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, raspberry and more lightly bright red berry notes combined with hints of lily, iris as well as fine hints of bergamot, star anise, a discreet touch of pepper, spice. Good length. The tannins are well-managed.
