The nose reveals fresh, ripe fruit and some power. There are notes of bright raspberry, ripe/fresh blackcurrant, more lightly liquorice stick combined with small hints of juicy/crushed berries as well as fine plum blossom and discreet notes spices and a subtle hint of black tea. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, energy and a fresh backbone. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fresh blackberry, violet and more lightly pulpy/fresh casis combined with hints of fresh/pulpy raspberry, fine points of tonka bean, liquorice stick and a hint of cardamom and racy minerality. Good length. The tannins are precise and finely mellow. A very discreet hint of varietal in the background. Good freshness.
