The nose is aromatic and reveals good definition, volume, and a little airiness in its attack. There are notes of boysenberry, elegant black berries and, more slightly, lilac, violet, combined with hints of fresh raspberry and a fine touch of liquorice stick, tobacco and a discreet hint of clove. The palate is fruity and shows freshness, minerality, good definition, a certain juiciness, tension and a little airiness in the approach/management of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, juicy blackcurrant and more lightly fresh raspberry combined with hints of violet, lily as well as delicate nuances of rose, liquorice stick, fresh blond tobacco and a subtle hint of cardamom (in the background). The tannins are mellow.
