The nose is toasty and reveals fine richness of power, freshness, elegance and good definition. There are notes of fresh black cherry/blackberry, violet and more lightly blackcurrant combined with hints of fresh berries and hints of liquorice/licorice stick and a subtle hint of fresh nutmeg. The palate is fresh, racy and demonstrates minerality, nice freshness, some tension, delicate power and a tangy backbone. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh blackberry, fresh/acidic dark berries and more lightly lily notes combined with hints of star anise, raspberry, hints of sour cherry, liquorice and hints of toast and toastiness. Good length. The tannins are well managed and elegant.
