The nose is fruity, fresh and racy, revealing intensity and a nice finesse of grain. There are notes of fresh/juicy wild blackcurrant, boysenberry and a touch of cuben pepper combined with hints of wild red fruit, a touch of fresh plum as well as hints of lily, sense of place and a very discreet touch of pepper. The palate is fruity and reveals an acidic backbone, juiciness, smoothness, a nice freshness, roundness, delicacy, a melodious quality, freshness in its power, minerality, a nice definition as well as a fine gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, boysenberry and more slightly juicy/pulpy purple plum combined with hints of red berries, fine liquorice/licorice stick, a subtle hint of lilac, limestone and a discreet hint of sweet spice, mocha and nutmeg. Harmonious! Nice tannins, mellow, elegant, very fine and typical of white clay. Nice classicism!
