Château Beauséjour Héritiers Duffau-Lagarrosse 2021 – Saint-Émilion 1er Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, aromatic and reveals energy, brightness, some complexity, life and crystalline fruit. There are notes of crushed raspberry, juicy violet plum and more lightly juicy/pulpy blackcurrant combined with hints of lilac, star anise as well as discreet hints of sweet blond tobacco, saffron and a subtle touch of vanilla. The palate is fruity and shows juiciness, smoothness, elegance, finesse, precision, accuracy, racy structure and freshness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackcurrant, strawberry, blueberry, crushed blackcurrant, blueberries, blue plum and, to a lesser extent, pulpy raspberry, combined with hints of star anise, liquorice, lilac, a sense of place, as well as a discreet hint of saffron, chocolate, toasted almonds, and a subtle hint of bourbon vanilla.
