The nose is fruity and reveals some power, spiciness, depth and a certain straightness. There are notes of boysenberry, pulpy, juicy berries with hints of herbs, black tea, vanilla and a very discreet hint of fresh flowers and black pepper. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced and offers good definition, juiciness, freshness, energy, volume and deliciousness. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, raspberry and slightly fresh blueberry notes combined with hints of black tea, aromatic herbs, camphor as well as hints of tonka bean, caramelisation and fine toasted almond. The tannins are well-managed, fine and mellow. Good length. Nice freshness and a certain purity of fruit, some concentration.
