The nose is fruity and reveals elegance, power, a nice grain and complexity. There are notes of boysenberry, pulpy wild strawberry and more lightly peppery notes combined with delicate hints of zan, bright cherry as well as a discreet hint of sense of place (local biotop) and a very discreet touch of spice. The palate is fruity, elegant, fresh, nicely defined and reveals some creaminess in finesse, a nice acidic frame as well as a nice racy grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/creamy blackberry, raspberry and slightly brighter blackcurrant combined with hints of violet, black tea, fine hints of sweet spices, cocoa, bright/fresh blue berries and a subtle hint of Bourbon vanilla and a subtle touch of chocolate. A lovely complexity, all elegance and finesse. A subtle, almost iodine-like hint in the background. A nice airy side in its creaminess. A lacy wine that offers a lovely harmony.
