A lovely racy, traditional nose with fine complexity. There are notes of wild black plums and more slightly wild dark berries combined with touches of olive tree, sage as well as fine hints of violet, bigarreau cherry and a discreet note of dry local earth and blond tobacco. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, nice definition, minerality, mastery, accuracy, fine concentration, fine straightness, sincerity and precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of wild black plum, violet and more lightly black olive combined with hints of local grove/sage as well as subtle hints of wild cherries, small wild berries as well as a subtle hint of pepper, almost eucalyptus as well as a subtle hint of dark chocolate, good control over the welcome bitterness and varietal notes, a more traditional approach. Good length. The tannins are precise and mellow.
