The nose is fresh, fruity and reveals some concentration and purity. There are notes of bright/juicy blackcurrant, violet and slightly juicy/pulpy violet plum with a touch of crushed strawberry and a subtle hint of blueberry and star anise. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced and offers purity, a certain gourmandize, a juicy/acidic backbone, a fine straightness, a nice volume, tension, a good definition as well as a good, precise and fine tannic structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/full bodied blackberry, juicy/full bodied violet plum and slightly blueberry combined with hints of crunchy/juicy red berry fruit as well as hints of chocolate, vanilla and a subtle hint of sweet tobacco. The tannins are fresh, smooth and elegant.
