Château Le Chemin 2021 – Pomerol

Château Le Chemin 2021 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, gourmet, racy, rich and intense. There are notes of pulpy blackberry, fleshy blackcurrant and, to a lesser extent, crushed strawberry, combined with delicate hints of saline, smoke, nutmeg and a hint of bourbon vanilla. The palate is fruity, balanced and reveals brightness, gourmandize, a very fine crunch, a certain complexity in the ripeness of the fruit (fleshy, acidulous, crunchy and sometimes a little roasted) as well as a nice pulpiness/acidity and freshness of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/juicy blackberry, violet and more lightly juicy/acidic blue berry combined with hints of crunchy berry, a hint of roasted cherry as well as discreet hints of mocha, cardamom and a subtle hint of toasty/vanilla. The tannins are precise and sapid. Good length, with a hint of saltiness in the background.
