The nose is aromatic, elegant, revealing gourmandize and a nice grain. There are notes of ripe/pulpy blackberry, raspberry and more slightly juicy/ripe strawberry combined with a fine touch of crushed blackcurrant, delicate hints of chocolate star anise and a subtle hint of camphor and vanilla. The palate is mineral, balanced, precise, discreetly tight and reveals juiciness, freshness, good definition, a little tension and a nice acidic/juicy/sparkling fruit. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/acidic blackcurrant, tart blackberry and lighter plum notes with hints of tart raspberry, fine tonka bean, tobacco, toast, fine bright blue berry, fine graphite and a discreet hint of clove and toasted almond. Good length. A nice, gourmet chewiness on the finish/persistence. Nice freshness. Good length.
