The nose is elegant and offers complexity, definition, fine velvety, freshness and a fine crispness. There are notes of bright boysenberry, bright raspberry and more lightly blueberry, violet as well as fine hints of tonka bean, sweet blond tobacco, camphor and toasted almond. The palate is fruity, balanced and reveals a nice freshness/acidity, gourmandize, a fine acidic structure, a nice energy, roundness, substance, aromatic purity and a nice hint of salinity in the background. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, cherry and more slightly blueberry combined with touches of bright blackcurrant, blueberry, fresh lily as well as hints of tonka bean, caramelisation, a discreet hint of blond tobacco, sweet spices and a subtle, almost iodine-like touch. Nice definition and good work on the bitter taste. Purity and freshness.
