The nose is fruity, elegant, racy and offers some creaminess and power, nice definition and management of its richness. There are notes of bright blueberry, crushed plum and more slightly crème de cassis associated with hints of pulpy/roasted cherry as well as fine points of violet, sense of place and a discreet hint of black olive. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, freshness, a nice work on the bitter taste, tension and accuracy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy boysenberry, black plum and more lightly roasted coffee, combined with delicate touches of saffron, violet and black olive, as well as fine hints of local garrigue and a discreet touch of coffee pepper. Good length. The tannins are precise and well conducted.
