The nose is fruity and reveals a certain intensity, a fine concentration. There are notes of fresh wild blackcurrant, violet and more lightly fresh/pulpy berries combined with hints of violet and a subtle hint of fresh blond tobacco. The palate is nicely fresh, focused and offers minerality, acidic backbone, a little graininess, freshness and energy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh boysenberry, violet and more lightly blue berries combined with hints of juicy/chunky cherry as well as hints of liquorice, light tobacco, a discreet hint of toasted almond, Madagascar pepper (in the background) and a subtle hint of caramelisation.
