The nose is elegant, delicate and offers some power, finesse, fine/precise grain and complexity. There are notes of bright boysenberry, morello cherry and more lightly pulpy/fresh red berries combined with fine touches of almost roasted red berries, fine hints of camphor, vanilla, a subtle hint of toastiness, pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, mineral, fresh and reveals sapidity, a nice stretch, an acidic backbone, a fine straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fresh raspberry, fresh/crunchy blackcurrant and more lightly roasted cherry combined with hints of ripe/fresh red berries as well as hints of vanilla, fresh blond tobacco, violets, fine hints of toasted almond and nutmeg. A nice tense finish.
