The nose is fruity, elegant and has a nice mineral character. There are notes of bright violet plum, morello cherry and slightly fresh raspberry combined with hints of violet, lily, fine hints of crushed blackcurrant as well as fine hints of racy minerality, graphite and a subtle hint of Madagascar pepper. The palate is precise, racy, balanced and shows purity, fruit, tension, gourmandize, a certain richness/pulpiness (all in precision and accuracy). On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright purple plum and more lightly blackcurrant notes combined with hints of violet, racy minerality, graphite as well as hints of toasted/caramelised almonds, a fine touch of toasted hazelnut, chocolate and a subtle hint of caramelisation. The tannins are precise, elegant and mellow.
