The nose reveals some concentration, richness, a fine airiness in the approach as well as gourmandize. There are notes of fleshy strawberry, fleshy/full-bodied blackberry and, more slightly, fleshy blackcurrant combined with delicate touches of zan, toast/caramelisation as well as a fine hint of toasted almond, vanilla and an imperceptible, almost iodine-like touch. The palate is mineral and reveals freshness, fine tension, a certain juiciness, linearity, energy and an acidic structure. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh raspberry, cherry and more lightly juicy/fresh blackcurrant notes combined with hints of lily, a subtle touch of peony, racy minerality, fine hints of sweet spice, zan and an almost sweet tobacco and cardamon edge. A very discreet, almost iodine-like hint in the background. The tannins are mellow.
