The nose is aromatic, with fine concentration and a hint of spice. There are notes of boysenberry, bright raspberry and slightly morello cherry combined with hints of pulpy blue berries, liquorice, zan and a subtle hint of light tobacco, pepper and a discreet hint of vanilla bean. The palate is mineral, revealing freshness, minerality, fine tension and elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, pulpy/fresh blackcurrant and more lightly violet combined with hints of rose, fresh violet plum, fresh/pulpy raspberry as well as hints of fresh blond tobacco, cardamom, a subtle hint of nutmeg and a very discreet hint of clove. The tannins are light and firm. A fine hint of toastiness on the finish/persistence. Delicacy, suppleness, some power/density and a good job on the bitter taste!
