The nose shows concentration, a powerful/racy texture and a certain intensity, a fine complexity. There are notes of wild blackberry, wild strawberry and slightly wild dark berries combined with hints of pepper, lilac, spice, fine clove and discreet toasted notes. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, a certain freshness, juiciness and restrained fruitiness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy blackberry, raspberry and more lightly of pulpy/fresh berries associated with hints of tonka bean, tobacco, fine toasted notes, a discreet hint of lily and a subtle touch of camphor. The tannins are well managed.
