The nose is elegant, delicate, subtle and offers certain racy power and subtlety, brightness and depth. There are notes of bright cherry, violet and, more lightly, pulpy/flavoured violet plum, combined with touches of bright raspberry and hints of blue berries, liquorice, fine hints of liquorice/badian and a very discreet hint of graphite, racy minerality, sap and subtle hints of bourbon vanilla. The palate is nicely fresh, elegant, charming and reveals creaminess in its freshness, a nice acidic spine, a nice freshness, a nice grain, a little air in the approach, a fine varietal side in the background (which carries) as well as a subtle dark fruits quality. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/sparkling blackberry, blue plum and, more lightly, star anise/black licorice combined with hints of crushed strawberry, fine hints of crushed red currants, fine hints of fresh lilac, racy minerality/marlins, as well as fine hints of tonka bean, mocha, discrete hints of toasted hazelnut and chocolate. The tannins are elegant, precise, delicate, fresh and reveal suppleness. Congratulations!
